Pastor Phil and Theresa Clay Phil came to know Christ as his personal savior through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ in 1975 while attending the University of Houston.   He later studied at New Tribes Bible Institute, and Southeastern Bible College.    Phil has spent 15 years as a missionary involved in church-planting, theological education, pastoring, and leadership development in Costa Rica (Central America), South Texas and Houston.   Phil has served as a part-time pastor for The People’s Covenant Church in 1999-2000 and from 2006 to the present.    Phil is also full-time Director of International Students for the University of Texas-Pan American, in Edinburg, Texas with over 1000 international students from over 50 countries.       Theresa graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.  She became a Christian through a small group Bible Study at work, while working as a Medical Technologist at the Houston Medical Center.  She has also been involved in as a leader in Community Bible Study in Brenham and Midland, Texas.  She currently is a technical analyst for Abbott Laboratories.
